Thema: Thief actions Succeed, Fail, Caught in act

I had a thought it would add some amount of realism if Instead of just binary succeed & fail they could also be caught in the act.  The action is done, but the thief is also killed.

And God Said:
Δ*D = ρf                   Δ*B = 0
ΔxE = -δB/δt            ΔxH = Jf + δD/δt
and THEN there was light.

Re: Thief actions Succeed, Fail, Caught in act

are you seeing a lot of thief actions succeeding lately?

Re: Thief actions Succeed, Fail, Caught in act

or, the actions are 4 i total tongue with 4th being action fails, but thief survives by escaping back home

I guess big_smile

I was actually thinking that since thieves are harder to use than wizards, given a good enough chance of success that 10% fail rate could be converted to succeed, but killed.  In that way a thief could always complete the mission if he were good enough... but it may cost him his life.

And God Said:
Δ*D = ρf                   Δ*B = 0
ΔxE = -δB/δt            ΔxH = Jf + δD/δt

having the "perform action" probability and "surviving" probability independent with the same value.
so 30% means there's 30% he'll survive, and 30% he'll do the action. both could be true, both false, or just 1 true. the game does a seperate mtrand calculation for each.

That would probably work better.
