Thema: Spammers

Isn't there anything that can be done about those spammers here? It's pretty annoying to see 5 new forum messages when you log on, just to find out that 4 of them are some kind of retarded advertisement.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. It's just that yours is stupid.

Maybe you can try some more advanced filter? I've noticed the only thing someone needs to do to prove they are human, is give the name of our planet...

What if new members are required to have their posts approved by a moderator?  Leave them in the "New Members" group until they hit 5 posts, then automatically switch them to the "Members" group where pre-approval is not necessary.  I know it's possible on some BB systems, I don't know about PunBB

Edit: But if we stop all spammers, how will we know where to buy handbags, viagra, or cheap nikes?  How will we know what real estate or commodities to buy?  It would be catastrophic for the fiscal well-being of the community...
